Hi, I’m Tami!

Caring for children has always been something very special to me. Before opening BearKind Care, I spent many years working closely with families as both an au pair and a nanny. Being part of children’s everyday lives, watching them grow, and building relationships with their families helped shape not only the caregiver I am today, but also the kind of environment I wanted to create at BearKind Care.
What I enjoy most are the little moments—watching their personalities grow, seeing how proud they are when they learn something new, reading together, playing outside, being silly, and celebrating all the small milestones along the way. Every child is different, and I truly enjoy getting to know who they are and helping them feel safe, comfortable, and confident.

Becoming a mom made caring for children even more meaningful to me. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your child with someone else, and I want every parent to feel confident knowing their little one is with someone who will genuinely care for them.

Over the years, I’ve also made it a priority to continue learning and growing as a childcare provider. Along with my hands-on experience, I’ve completed professional training in child development, curriculum and lesson planning, health and safety, nutrition, active supervision, emergency preparedness, inclusive care, and supporting children with special needs. For me, continuing my education is another way I can provide the safe, thoughtful, and nurturing care every child deserves.

That’s why I created BearKind Care—a small, home-like environment where children can receive personal attention while having plenty of opportunities to play, explore, learn, and simply enjoy being kids.
My hope is that BearKind Care feels like an extension of home—a place where children are excited to come each day and where parents feel comfortable and confident leaving their little ones in my care.
